Starting in high school learning to run an audio mixing console, then picking up a camera, moving to studio cameras, technical directing multiple camera shoots live to tape while running graphics and tape playback, I have been in production since the early '90s. Moving into post production in college during the transition from film to digital, I've edited in online tape bays with CMS 3600 before seeing my first Film Composer introducing me to NLEs.
Over the years, I've worked in pretty much every aspect of the video world. I've spent time as a colorist assistant. Spent several years as a DVD programmer. Moved into the world of streaming while the shiny round disc industry was fighting over red or blue laser formats where I designed automated scalable workflows to handle processing 100,000+ audio files in a week and 75,000+ video sources in six weeks.
No matter what my day job was, I always seem to find myself with a camera near by. I've had the fortune to be sent around the globe as an editor and/or camera op. While I'm not a social butterfly seeking the limelight, I've always loved telling stories with pictures whether that's a single image or twenty four of them strung together per second. Even when not in a camera role, I still find time to click a shutter somehow.
Zer0 Purpose? Not being the self-promoting type, the name is a self deprecating nod to "why would I need a personal website?" when it would serve...
Oh yeah, I'm Dylan btw
